Neotia Getwel Multispeciality Hospital, Siliguri launches new OPD and Diagnostic building to cater to the growing healthcare need of the people of North Bengal and North-East India.
Wednesday, Jan 15, 2020 – Neotia Getwel Multispeciality Hospital, Siliguri opened its newly constructed OPD and Diagnostic building in the presence of senior consultants and officials of the hospital. Constructed at an investment of around Rs 10 crores, the new facility intends to provide convenient and state of the art healthcare services to the people of North Bengal & North-Eastern India. Spread over a built-up area of 20000 sqft. it includes a basement and 3 floors above it. The various facilities and services are located in the following manner;
Basement: consists of a dedicated multipurpose hall for educational seminars and academic programmes including DNB courses.
Ground floor: comprises the patient registration desks, sample collection phlebotomy rooms, a spacious patient waiting lobby with F&B facilities, a beautifully designed landscape garden providing a wonderful ambience.
First floor: comprises 8 OPD chambers, elaborate physiotherapy, neuro and sports rehabilitation centres with upgraded modern machinery in a large space.
Second floor: comprises 8 additional OPD chambers, a dedicated Gastroenterology unit along with diagnostic facilities including Gastroenterology daycare ward, comprehensive
Endocrinology unit along with diabetic education rooms, ENT consultation rooms along with ENT diagnostic services and ENT procedure rooms.
Speaking on the occasion Ms Ruma Banerjee, Vice-President said, “Encouraged by the support and good wishes of the people, the new OPD block that will augment the existing capacity of OPD to 1000 patients daily is part of the several initiatives that the hospital has undertaken to provide comprehensive healthcare facilities to the people of this region”.
Apart from the above, Diplomate of National Board (DNB) courses shall now be introduced as part of the academic endeavour at the hospital. DNB is the title awarded by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), an autonomous academic body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India to candidates who successfully complete their postgraduate or postdoctoral medical education under it.
