Neotia Getwel Multispecialty Hospital Organized an Interactive Symposium on World Kidney Day, 2021 with the patient relatives of those who are suffering with Kidney diseases.

Neotia Getwel Multispecialty Hospital organized an Interactive Symposium on the occasion of World Kidney, 2021 with the patient relatives of those who are suffering from Kidney diseases on 11th March, 2021 in order to answer various questions by the patient relatives regarding kidney health.

Dr. Ajit Kr. Singh & Dr. Vivek Gaurav Consultant & Renal Transplant Physician – Department of Nephrpology, Neotia Getwel Multispecialty Hospital participated in the questions & answers with the audience. Around 30 – 35 patient relatives of kidney patients participated in the interactive symposium.

Keeping in mind the theme for World Kidney Day, 2021, ‘Living Well with Kidney Disease’, Neotia Getwel organised such a discussion session to create awareness and educate the family members of those who have been living with kidney patients at their home. Dr. Singh & Dr. Gaurav answered various questions of the patient’s relatives, most of which were about dialysis, dietary measures of kidney patients, and preventive measures of chronic kidney disease, kidney transplant etc.

“Kidney disease usually gets worse slowly, and symptoms may not appear until your kidneys are badly damaged. Hence, preventive measures are needed to be taken since an early stage of life. Proper diet, lifestyle modification and thorough check up after a certain age are really important. If kidney disease is caught early, there are actions you and your doctor can take to keep it from getting worse,” said Dr. Singh & Dr. Gaurav at the symposium.
